Athos Sanchini was born in Urbino in 1945.
He graduated Teacher of art to the State Institute of Art for the engraving technologies, has then attended (student of Carlo Ceci and other) the Course of Teaching for the Lithograph. He directed the Pictorial Chair of Disciplines I press l' Institute d' Art of Urbino from 1983 to 1999.
He participated in numerous axhibitions in Italy and abroad. We remember the recent "Mark in the Time. Woodcut and copperplate Engraving in the Marche from the XV to the XX century" (Saragozza and Ascoli Piceno 2002) and "Traveled of contemporary Engraving" (Urbino and Fermigliano 2002).
